Covid Alert Level 2 – School Remains Open

18 Feb: Under Alert Level 1, Swimming Sports will proceed at Makino pool on Friday 19th. Classes including assemblies will continue as usual.  

It is still important to be vigilant at Covid Alert Level 1. This includes: Staying home when sick, Social distancing, good hygiene, and getting a test if you show Covid symptoms

14 Feb: This week, the school we be operating under Covid Alert Level 2. This means:

  • If students are sick, they must stay home. They should not come to school or socialise with others.
  • If you have cold, flu or COVID-19 symptoms, or have recently visited one of the hotspots listed on www.covid19.govt.nz, call your doctor or Healthline and get advice about being tested.
  • If you have been told to self-isolate you legally must do so immediately.
  • It’s important that all families use basic hygiene measures, including washing your hands, coughing or sneezing into your elbow and cleaning surfaces.
  • All parents and visitors to the school must use the COVID tracer app at the school gates. This helps with rapid contact tracing if it’s required.
  • School buses will operate as normal. Masks are not mandatory but may be worn.
  • Physical distancing will be practised in each classroom and in the school grounds where practicable.
  • All school assemblies will be cancelled in the interim as a precaution
  • At this stage we will not be providing distance learning.
