ERO Reports

The Education Review Office (ERO) reviews schools and publishes national reports on current education practice.

The purpose of a review is to give parents and the wider school community assurance about the quality of education that the school provides. The ERO report answers the question “How effectively is this school’s curriculum promoting student learning – engagement, progress and achievement?” Under that overarching question ERO reports on the quality of education and learning outcomes for children and for specific groups of children including Māori students, Pacific students and students with special needs. ERO also reports on the quality of the school’s systems for sustaining and continuing improvements. In 2015, ERO assessed Cornerstone’s readiness to offer senior secondary (Y11-13) beginning in 2016. ERO concluded:

“As the secondary year levels are introduced systems, appropriate curriculum and resourcing are either in place or planned for these students. Cornerstone Christian School is well placed to cater for the needs of Years 9-13 students.”
