Executive Officer

Permanent | Term time only (plus 3 weeks), up to 37.5 hrs/week

We require a highly competent Executive Officer to undertake financial, property and payroll functions. The role includes working closely alongside the Principal and other senior management as a critical link in the smooth-running of the school.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Financial management of accounts through to year end
  • Payroll management for all teaching and non-teaching staff
  • Other property, health and safety and administrative functions dependent on the skill set of the appointee

This role is term-time only, plus three weeks, for up to 37.5 hours per week. Remuneration commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Cornerstone Christian School is an established state-integrated co-educational Area School in Palmerston North providing non-denominational Christian special character education in the Manawatu. We have achieved success in educational excellence and spiritual development of our students from years 1-13 with a staff of over 100 and a current maximum role of 610 pupils. Primary School Teacher

Year 2 | Maternity Leave position up to 0.6FTTE (negotiable) 

Cornerstone Christian School is seeking a NZ Registered Primary Teacher for a Year 2 class, Maternity Leave up to 0.6FTTE (negotiable) position starting Monday 4th August, 2025. 

Cornerstone Christian School is a Year 1-13 Special Character (Christian) Area School of around 600 students located just on the outskirts of Palmerston North.  It is a fun and supportive place to work, well-resourced and with great students.   

A willingness and ability to support and uphold the special character of the school, and a willingness and ability to take part in religious instruction appropriate to the special character of the school, shall be a condition of appointment. 

Terms and conditions, including base salary, for this position is set by the Area School Teachers’ Collective Agreement – Education in New Zealand (ASTCA).
