Around 200 parents, teachers, past and present students helped make Cornerstone’s Quiz Night was a smashing success!
Teams of ten were quizzed on categories like NZ and Local History, Guess The Song, and everything in-between. There was a range of fancy team costumes, to go with the fancy treats and baking.
The event was run by the Cornerstone Fundraising Group with Mrs Campbell and Mrs Short taking the lead. It is understood that some of the proceeds will go to expenses like upgrading school sound gear.
A team humbly named ‘Simple Minds’ won the whole event, and some nice prizes. Second place wasn’t as clear cut with a four way tie.
A notorious and vocal team made up of former students gave themselves the ominous name ‘The Disappointments’. Not surprisingly they made the most noise, had the most fun, and almost got the least points.
