Moonlit Senior Ball

Over 100 Year 11s to13s gathered at Cornerstone to celebrate our 2022 Moonlight themed Senior Ball. School blazers were exchanged for suits and gowns. School buses were exchanged for sports cars a Mustang and a convertible.

Organised by the student Social Committee, the night began with a short prayer by prefect Hannah. Then the lights went off, and the DJ struck up the beats. Jamil’s Catering from Feilding provided ample sustenance for all the dancing which was thirsty work – Mrs Casey had to make an additional trip to get more drinks.

In a student vote, the Best Dressed Man went to Emmanuel for his pin-stripe suit. The Best Dressed Lady was Diane. Her younger brother Amini won the best matching duo with Olivia, however Mr Mac and Mr Rose also received a number of votes in this category.

Principal Mr Mitchell cheerfully greeted every student at the door. He wanted to acknowledge Ms MacAulay who ran the event for the first time this year. She and the social committee put a huge effort into organising all the food, vendors, and decorations. They worked, Friday night, Saturday morning, and then packed up on Sunday.

Anna T, the Student Social Committee Prefect really enjoyed the night. Her highlights were the great food with the new caterer, and the chance to have good clean fun with her year group.
